A lot has happened with our family over the last week, so much that we haven't had time to blog lately. Starting with last Thursday when I made the fateful decision NOT to take a certain flight from Newark to Buffalo to come home. I had been in NJ and Philly late last week on a business trip and luckily my meeting in Philly on Thursday wasn't done until 4:30, not 3:30....All that I can say is that someone was watching over me that day....and I am truly the luckiest person in the world. It was such a surreal experience to wake up the next morning and know that I could have very likely been on that plane had I had rushed to finish up that day at work. My heart is with all of those people that were just like me...just coming home to be back with their families after a couple of days away for work.
Anyway...now for some more uplifting news...Jakub has really made leaps and bounds in his development over the last week. He has learned to crawl! At first it was a little uncoordinated, but now he has it down pat! He can also sit up on his own. In addition to his one upper tooth, he is sprouting his other front upper tooth and a lower tooth! He is becoming such a big boy!
This past weekend, we also went to visit Jay in DC. Jakub got to make his first visit to Irish Times. We also visited the Baltimore aquarium, where Jakub had a great time squealing at the fish and after a few hours zonking out in the baby carrier from all of the excitement! We also visited few monuments around DC..the Lincoln Memorial, the White House, etc. We had an excellent Valentine's day dinner at Lia's where Jakub got to try gelato for the first time. Boy did he like that. All in all it was loads of fun!
Jakey at Irish Times! He was quite a hit!
