FOOD!

So, Jakub tried some solid food this weekend! Well, as solid as you can call rice cereal at least. I would say we had about a 50% success rate with about half of it ending up on his bib. Given the way that rice cereal tastes, I am not sure I blame him. He seemed to like the spoon, especially when it "made noises" on its trajectory into his mouth. Here are some timeless pics.... BTW...I (Amy) only approved this bib because he just doesn't have a Buffalo Bills one yet!

We are still clean....here we go!

I want control of the spoon!!

Ok, maybe this isn't so bad...Mommy AND Daddy's full attention on ME!

Phew...that was a lot of hard work!

Our Little Bug is 4 Months!

On Tuesday, Jakub is 4 months old!! We can't believe how fast the time has flown. He is growing so fast, in 9 month old clothes already! He is such a happy little baby, babbling away. He loves flowers and trees and long walks with Nana. He also has really taken to his new nanny, Lindsey. We think he is getting ready to roll over pretty soon...he gets about half way there and gives up. :) Here are some pics from his 4 month old photo shoot...

Hello Mr. Ducky

During one of Jakub's naps in his pack and play, he reached out and grabbed his Mr. Ducky. I thought it was so cute I had to snap a pic.

This past weekend, we went on a dinner cruise for the 125 Anniversary of the Orchard Park Fire Company. I think it Slawek definitely had the best time of anyone there...after a few beers, of course...

Mom and Dad on the boat

The sunset...you can see the mist from Niagara Falls just right of center...

Slawek and I on the boat...

Passing under the Grand Island bridge

Yes, this is Slawek drinking a beer on a SCHOOL BUS. We are a classy group. :)

Yum....corn...

This weekend we celebrated several birthdays....Dad (Papa), Aunt Barbara and cousin Maddie! Everyone congregated at Nana and Papa's for the festivities with lots of good stuff to eat....including corn on the cob! Maddie showed us all how to eat it the right way...
Jakub had so much fun he zonked out on Aunt Ag minutes after everyone left...

Looooong Trip to Maine....

So this weekend we took a HUGE road trip to Maine (750 miles and 12 hours EACH WAY) to see one of my best friends, Diane, get married. We loaded up the Explorer, Jakub and all, to make the trip. Jakey was amazing in the car, either sleeping, eating or smiling the whole way. He was such a trooper! The wedding was on Mount Desert Island, Maine, which is really beautiful and with so much to do and see that we didn't even have time for. We stayed at a cute little Bed and Breakfast called Black Friar Inn in Bar Harbor, which was within walking distance to all of the neat little shops in the town. The breakfast at the inn was delectable (just as the brochure stated), blueberry pancakes the first morning and avacado quiche the second. Very gourmet. I had lobster (or lobsta as they say) every chance I could get. Diane's family had a lobsta bake on Friday night and it was yummy! Too bad Slawek doesn't eat anything that comes from water...but that just left more for me! The wedding was in a light house overlooking the harbor and dinner followed at a great restaurant (at which I had lobsta pasta, of course). Diane was raveshing in her gown...and well, Steve, looked ok too... ;) On the way back to Buffalo, we got to visit my cousin Andy and Melissa and their little ones, Jack and Madeline in Albany...

This weekend Jakub tried out his big boy chair...he liked it for about 30 seconds....he looked so cute we just had to snap a few pics.
