So this weekend we took a HUGE road trip to Maine (750 miles and 12 hours EACH WAY) to see one of my best friends, Diane, get married. We loaded up the Explorer, Jakub and all, to make the trip. Jakey was amazing in the car, either sleeping, eating or smiling the whole way. He was such a trooper! The wedding was on Mount Desert Island, Maine, which is really beautiful and with so much to do and see that we didn't even have time for. We stayed at a cute little Bed and Breakfast called Black Friar Inn in Bar Harbor, which was within walking distance to all of the neat little shops in the town. The breakfast at the inn was delectable (just as the brochure stated), blueberry pancakes the first morning and avacado quiche the second. Very gourmet. I had lobster (or lobsta as they say) every chance I could get. Diane's family had a lobsta bake on Friday night and it was yummy! Too bad Slawek doesn't eat anything that comes from water...but that just left more for me! The wedding was in a light house overlooking the harbor and dinner followed at a great restaurant (at which I had lobsta pasta, of course). Diane was raveshing in her gown...and well, Steve, looked ok too... ;) On the way back to Buffalo, we got to visit my cousin Andy and Melissa and their little ones, Jack and Madeline in Albany...

This weekend Jakub tried out his big boy chair...he liked it for about 30 seconds....he looked so cute we just had to snap a few pics.
